Back in the 90s when I was working at Lithonia Lighting, one of the higher-ups issued orders to have the warehouse cleaned up. The dirt and dust were pretty bad out there, and it got trashed quickly.
After the clean-up project, someone printed a stack of signs and posted them in the warehouse aisles nearest to the executive offices. This is the sign.
By the next morning, someone had written at the bottom of several signs in longhand, “What are Lets?”
I didn’t do it, but I wish I had.

Home of the Lets.
Obviously, what they should’ve done is put “clean” on quotes, for emphasis
Now I regret not swiping one of the doctored signs. What was I thinking?
I used to leave the Let’s little offerings on their pallet alter in hopes that it would ensure me getting out of warehouse inventory duty. It worked for the entire 5 years I was at Lithonia!
Clever boy. I think Dan Rabun probably set the record for pulling inventory duty. As for myself, I never once got tapped for it in 25 years. Brer Rocky, he lay low.
