1. Entomophagy is the consumption of bugs for food. In much of rural Asia and Africa, insects are an important source of vitamins and protein. Eating crickets, grasshoppers, mealworms, caterpillars, etc., overcomes the deficiencies of poor diets. Probably, salt and pepper helps.
2. Indiana Smith.
3. It came from Shakespeare. In Henry IV, Part I, Act II, Scene iii, the Earl of Northumberland describes an associate as a “lack-brain” and “a dish of skim milk.”
4. As buyer Cohen looked on, seller Wynn accidentally elbowed the pricey masterpiece, ripping a hole in the canvas. (Not to worry. The painting was “superbly restored,” and they made a new deal in which Cohen purchased the painting in 2013 for $155 million.)
5. She replaced the profile of an Indian chief, although Coppertone kept the chief’s slogan.
